Pepita nació en colaboración con NubeCanela. Queríamos asistir a un bazar navideño y pensando en nuevos productos, se nos ocurrió hacer un conjunto de niña con muñeca vestidas iguales. NubeCanela hizo el vestido y con base en él, hice la muñeca. Queríamos usar bordados artesanales y encontramos unos hechos con una técnica otomí llamada «hilván» tradicionales de la Sierra Norte de Puebla, que consiste en pequeños guiones sobre varias líneas paralelas que dibujan flores, animales, estrellas o figuras geométricas.

El modelo ha cambiado y ahora es una edición especial con bordados de Pedro Martín, un reconocido maestro bordador de Cuetzalan, Puebla. Cada Pepita es una pequeña joya, con un magnífico bordado hecho a mano en hilo sobre manta.

Pepita was born in collaboration with NubeCanela. We wanted to attend a Christmas market and thinking in new products, we came up with a set of girl and doll dressed with the same costume. NubeCanela made the dress and based on it, I made the doll. We wanted to use handmade embroideries and we find some with an otomí technique called «hilván» traditional of the «Sierra Norte» in Puebla, which consists of small dashes on many parallel lines that draw flowers, animals, stars or geometric shapes.

The Model has changed and now is a special edition with embroideries made by Pedro Martín, a renowned embroiderer artist from Cuetzalan, Puebla. Each Pepita is a little jewel, with a magnificent embroidery handmade with thread on canvas.
